Hey there,

I just installed my new MSI R9 390 and I saw something weird. My graphics card has 8GB of RAM but in MSI Afterburner it only shows 3072 Mb. (See picture)
In Shadow of Mordor it hits around 4.9 GB but in Just Cause 3, it only goes to about 2.9 GB.
Why is MSI afterburner showing the wrong amount of RAM?

I already have done:
- Uninstalled all drivers via DDU
- Installed the latest drivers
- Uninstalled/ installed MSI Afterburner

Thanks!

PS: my previous card (Radeon HD 7970) had 3072 Mb of RAM)

Solution
By default Afterburner only sees 3gb (3072). I'm not at my computer but I believe it is a setting on the monitoring tab. You need to change the value from 3072 to 8192. This will allow Afterburner to monitor usage higher than 3gb but if the game doesn't take advantage 8gb of vram(most won't) you won't see a big jump in usage.

Solution
Go to -settings -monitoring tab.
Then scroll down and click on GPU usage.
Options below change and you can put in the new numbers of your vram.
The same works with ram :)
