Not all of my 128GB Ram are working on a X99-E motherboard

i have a Gigabyte X99-E LGA 2011v3 motherboard and not all of the ram (128GB) are working. I had to bring it down to 1 x 16GB ram for it to load windows 10. For some reason the BIOS would pick up my SSD hard drive but when it started to install windows 10 it would freeze. I have 2 hard drives, 1 x SSD and 1 x 3TD HDD and both have no problems with then. Any ideas???
(I just found out that my i7 5820k cpu handles only 64gb of ram)

Your motherboard does support 128 GB of RAM. It may be a situation of compatibility, defective RAM, or a defect in the motherboard.

But it sounds like you already narrowed it down to your CPU.

You're right. The Intel® Core™ i7-5820K Processor only supports 64GB of RAM.
