Not booting after first restart during installation of OS

Hi all i have a problem whit my friens PC. I wanna intsall fresh version of XP SP3 on his PC and the problem starts after first restart of pc during installation. I cheked for HDD on my pc and entire installation went well but in his PC it wont boot- continue installation. His pc has sata hdd and pata dvd/cd rom and mine is all sata can that have some role. Tnx

have you set the booting order in the BIOS?

yes ofc i did cdrom first and hdd second this is the first time in 10 years i see this

hhhmm try creating a USB installer instead then turn off the IDE in the BIOS.

Well not sure what was the problem i decided to install win7 instead and all worked. Not sure how but somehow i always get does wierd problems on pc. Tnx all
