Not certain what cable I need to use to attach my GPU to my PSU.

I recently got a new graphics card (GTX 970), but I do not know what cables I need to connect it to my power supply.

I need a cord that plugs the cords that came with the GPU into my CX750M power supply. I was thinking I needed a female molex to 8 pin EPS power or something along those lines, but I couldn't find any no matter where I looked. Any help is appreciated.

Don't connect the molex cables that came with the card. Use instead 2 of the 4 PCie power cables provided with the power supply.

You should have the cables needed that came with your power supply. Your graphics card takes 2 6pin pcie power cables. See the empty space on the psu that's labeled "6+2 pci-e"? The power supply should have a cable that fits there and extends with a 6pin (2 optional pins you won't need) connector that fits to your gpu. Hopefully your psu has two of those pci-e plugs and cables. If not, you'll need to use the psu cable and route it from that 6+2 labeled connector to one of the gpu power ports.

The included cable that came with your gpu, it has a 6 pin connector on one end and splits off to 2 4pin molex connectors right? You would connect both of those molex connectors to molex cables coming off your psu and attach that 6pin portion of the cable into the remaining 6pin connector on your gpu.

In summary either 2 pci-e cables coming from psu to gpu or 1 cable from pci-e on psu to graphics card and use the adapter to connect 2 4pin molex turning them into the second 6pin pci-e power cable you'll need.

I've had this PSU for over a year, so I don't have any of the cables that came with it anymore. In order to get those cables, would I just look up "PCI-e cable?" And do I have to find a specific one that fits my PSU and GPU or are they universal?

Those say they're compatible with silverstone psu's but I don't know if they're compatible with that corsair or not. Sometimes psu's use proprietary cables meant to work with their psu specifically rather than universal connections. You could try contacting corsair to see if they have replacement cables available.

It looks like corsair gives some options. Here is a type3 pcie pigtail that should work with the cx750m. You'd need 2 of them if you don't have any.

Part of the downfall of modular psu's is when people set up their pc then toss the additional cables or misplace them. It's important to hang onto them in case they're needed for hardware upgrades.
