not detecting 2nd monitor, help?

i recently installed a second graphics card, i now have 2 gtx7850s and i want to hook up two monitors but the monitor on the new graphics card wont show up, both video cards are detected in my computer, did install something wrong or is it something else?

im not entirely sure but you may have to plug the cable from the second monitor into the first graphics card. and you dont need two graphics cards for multiple displays. im good with dual display with one card. also try right clicking on the desktop> screen resolution> then you can configure your monitors/monitor

the graphics card i bought is dumb and has all of its ports on one line so i cant do 2 displays unless i have 2 of them
