Not detecting my SATA DVD Drive

Hey guys im using the P5W DH Deluxe. I recently bough a new Sata dvd burner and its not being detected by the bios....can someone please tell me whats going on? Do I need a special driver or something? thanks for the help

Might need a BIOS update...Switch SATA ports, check jumpers on back of drive.

Have the most up to date bios and sata does not have jumpers.

Which DVD drive is it? Make/model..
