I have a corsair cx600 and everyone keeps badmouthing it... Never had problems oc with a 970 or 760 which used up more voltage... so idk.. Ive been using the ASUS STRIX OC program and maxed out ALL the bars for EVERYTHING. Now everyone and their mom is getting INSANE framerates on it on DX12, and im getting 45 avg.. Is it because nobody is putting x16 Anti whatever and HABO+?! I feel as if everyone does regular FXAA and 8x anti whatever and only high... but i like eye candy.. So i hope i dont have a dud

my settings here. my specs are in my signature..

When over clocking the gpu you can't just slide everything to the max, it has to be done in increments to find what is stable. It's probably reverting to stock clocks or lower because of that. And yes anti aliasing is still very taxing especially x16 and habo+ together

Ok so with ASUS STRIX it goes up to only like +349 mhz and I know the 1070 and 1080 can go past 500 so that's why I do it with asus but with precision X i was getting crashes and that's cause I was putting stuff a bit too high even though I diod what you said so yea it cant be that. It was definitely a cpu problem because I put back the cpu speed to 3.8ghz to see if it would affect my gaming and I didn't have any crashes but then when I put it back I got a crash right before I could login to my windows acct for the computer. So what I did was I tested to see if th case fans were blowing against the cpu fan and it was so I put the cpu fan on the other side so that they go in the same direction which is what you're supposed to do. I also noticed that my cpu fan (cooler master hyper 212 evo) could be turned. Im not sure if thats supposed to happen because I believe that the thermal paste would be accumulating air bubbles which halts some heat transfer. So i presssed that harder and it was either the cpu fan and case fan clashing or an incorrect installment of cpu cooler. It took me 3 hours to install it so I would assume it to have 90% correct installation. It only turns a little bit, but looks like it was meant to be a abit adjusted, but im not so sure.
