Hi everyone,
This has been a persistent issue with me for 2 years now, with my computer randomly turning off during gameplay, and no it isn't overheating, and no my gpu isn't dying, i tested it in a working computer.
instead, I believe my gpu may not be getting enough power, as i have a GTX 760 which requires 2 6-pin connectors to power, now my 700w psu is more than capable to run it, however the psu itself only has 1 direct to 6-pin connector. the other one usb powered by a simple 1 molex to 6-pin, after a bit of research i figured out that that is not nearly sufficient enough, and would need two molex cables to power a full 6-pin.
so as my final question, hopefully, would that work? would two molex to 6-pin work to power my second 6-pin on my motherboard? because if it doesn't i would need to get a new power supply, but that's expensive, so a cheap converter would be more than helpful,
thanks all!
Quick edit: I forgot to mention that the graphics card does work perfectly fine, however my computers only turns off when my graphics card is under full load, also it may be worth mentioning that whenever my computer would shut off, it would log the issue as a "power surge".
