I'll try and make this short.

I dont have power on my house, my neighbour lend me an extension cord connected from his house (which has power) and there is 3 fans, a tv, and a 2 phones charging from it. I wanted to plug in my PC too, when i went to turn on my PC, it turns itself off seconds later.
So i press the power button , pc starts, literally 1 second late it turns itself back off. And it keeps doing it again over and over again without me trying to power it back up. Only way it stopped is by me turning the switch on my PSU. After afew attempts the PC finally booted normally, although i feel its a bit slower than its supposed to be.

So... my question is... Are all these symptoms on my PC are cause we are not getting enough power from the outlet? since thers so much connected to it already? Should I turn off my PC now and prevent any damage? I just want to know if what Im doing is Risky for my PC and should just wait....

-Thank you for reading :) Frankie

Solution
Before you lost power, was the PC on 24/7? The 1 second on constant restart is one of the signs of a PSU going bad. They seem fine while they're running, but they struggle with startup power when all the components are cold.

Most probably the PSU is doing its job to prevent damage to other components in your PC. And it's probably self shutting down because it can't get the wattage needed to keep the PC running stable.

You should get a dedicated outlet and test it out.

That is just too many items to run a extension cord. That is a fire hazard. I recommend getting a bigger gauge extension cord and then a power surge to protect all your components you are plugging in. This will ensure your getting the power to devices but also reduce the risk of fire.

Yes you should. Once something like the cpu gets damaged, your whole pc will be history...
