So i bought a 144Hz monitor which arrived today, and got it all set up with some complications at first but its sorted now, however i was told i would "see a significant difference" from upgrading from 60Hz, after playing for a couple of hours im seeing no difference. So im wondering is there any settings that i should change that would show better results? and ive already changed the HZ settings in my nvidia control panel. Any help would be appreciated because right now i feel like ive wasted my money

Solution
Vsync will cap it at 144hz but should reduce any tearing, some ppl prefer to keep it off however I think it's better to stay on as if your experiencing screen tearing it may mess up your aiming.

Yep its running at 143 saying ready. Also in overwatch i still see some screen tearing on corners when passing them which i thought would of stopped

Hmm I would think at the very least you'd see it in Overwatch, having a higher FPS made a huge difference in BF4 for me as far as K/D as everything was much smoother and clearer. Can your hardware provide those higher frames?

The screen tearing is less noticeable with a higher FPS but you'll still want to use Vsync or adaptive if you card/monitor support it.

The reason i kept it off was that people on another post i read said it causes lag and input delay?

I've read the same thing but I call BS, I've played on a 1080P/144hz with a 1ms response time with vsync off in BF4 while my buddy was on a 900P/60hz/5ms and did better then me, it's skill and judging enemy player movements that allow you to do better.
