Just recently bought a Gopro 4 black, and having tried playing the videos back, I'm getting choppy images. It seems like theres missing frames, rather than a lag due insufficient equipment.
The videos I've tried playing back are in resolutions of 1080p and 2.7k, both at 60fps. I heard that Gopro formats the files at high compressions, so I've tried converting them in Adobe premier, but still no luck. Having this experience has made me realise that anything I play on my PC isn't playing at 60fps (Games seem to be excluded). When I test all my high quality movies non play at a good frame rate.
I've checked that my monitor is set to 60 Hz, have the latest BIOS, installed latest AMD catalyst driver, everything seems good, so now I'm thinking; what the fuck?
The specs:
i7 4790k
EVO 500GB SSD + 4TB WD
Z97i-plus
Cosair Vengeance LP 1600 MHz 16GB
AMD W7000 4GB
Monitor: 273ELH Philips
Is it all possible my HDMI cable can be preventing me from attaining 60fps videos?
I'd really appreciate all your help here. Whomever solves my problem will be awarded with rich content, in knowing that they solved a super annoying problem!! : )
BTW: I also have windows 8.1 Pro, and have tried playback on pretty much every media player!
Thanks
