Question Not getting any display most of the time ?

I just built a last gen pc for a friend of mine, but for some reason it doesn't give a display on my monitor most of the time.

I know for a fact it's not the monitor, because I've tried a TV, an old monitor, and a new monitor. I also know it's not the graphics card, because it has the same issue with its integrated graphics. I'm not entirely ruling out the ram, but I have tried 2 types of ram already.

All of the components are new, besides the graphics card.

Specs:
i5-3470
Radeon R7 250 2GB
16GB DDR3 RAM
550 watt psu 80 plus bronze
Micro atx board.

Please help, I've spent all day trying to get this to work.

These are all old components. Do you have the actual model numbers for them?

What physical connection type are you using to attached the PC to the display (VGA, DVI, HDMI, etc)? Are you using any adapters to make the connection?
