my motherboard gigabyte x99 gaming 5p (it has 8 memory slots)

i already attach ddr4 kingston hyperx 8gb ram (HX421C14FB/8),
yesterday i bought another Kingston ddr4 hyperx 8gb stick (HX421C14FB2/8)
maybe it is an older version from my old stick.
i read the manual and it said that if i want to install 2 modules i should attach the first stick in the third slot from the left and second one the slot 6 from the left i did that already.
the problem that when i attach the second ram stick in the motherboard i got 16gb memory size but it dosn't run in a dual channel mode(nothing written in Channel # in cpuz) .
