Not getting e-mail

When I registered on this forums I noticed that it pops up and says I need to open a link or something on my e-mail but I don't have anything on my inbox or spam folder. Btw why do you really need to do this since it really wastes your time having to goto your e-mail and just clicking a link for somereason.

It's to help weed out the spammers and bots.

So spammers don't goto there e-mail and click the link? Btw does spam mean replying the same words twice or more?

No, a SPAM/bot account don't usually check an email account.

SPAM is when someone or a bot tries to advertise for their product.
