[SOLVED] Not getting highest resolution on my PC

Hi, I have a 7950 with a LG Flatron W2353S
The GPU is connected to a DVI-VGA adapter and I'm using a VGA cord to the monitor.
The thing is, when I connect straight VGA to the onboard graphics it goes perfectly on 1920x1080 but when I connect it to the GPU with the adapter it shows maximum resolution 1440x900.
Any idea about this??

Is it a normal DVI-I to VGA adapter or a converter from DVI-D to VGA?

Its the normal one, anyways I gave the GPU back

for your next GPU, use ddu uninstaller to remove all drivers in safe mode and reinstall the latest driver for your then installed card
