Not Over Clocking or SLI-ing. Which motherboard is better for the money?

I was going to go with the Mobo you see there but when I couldn't find any YouTube videos on it to have more reviews than what is available I got discouraged. Maybe there is a reason there is no YouTube video about it that weighs the pros and cons. Anyway I decided to just ask the community here.

I don't intend to overclock or SLI, as I believe my CPU and GPU are enough to accomplish what I want. I was also told to stay away from the minis and micros, because the smaller the Mobo is the harder it is to build on. This is my first PC build so I'll need it as easy as possible.

Does anyone have recommendations for what I could use that would be a good Mobo for my money? Are there any opinions on which brand is better or even if my PSU is good enough? I don't want to bump the price up too much higher than it is unless it'll be well worth it. I feel like I'm wasting money on fancy SLI and OC mobos when I won't be using or needing it.

Personally i would go for ryzen 1700 instead of i7 6700, it is about same price but much more powerful in anything else than gaming.

Question? Why are you going with the i7 6700 and not the i7 7700. Costs about the same and newer tech, as well as a higher clock rate.

I do plan on gaming and making games/movies for Unreal Engine 4, I just don't think over Clocking and SLI is necessary. Am I wrong with this set up?

Kind of your wrong. I mean it will work fine, however I gave you two change ideas that would actually cost less and give you a bit faster setup.

Since you are not overclocking or doing sli you do not need a "z" motherboard. Also the motherboard and cpu you picked are 6th generation. The ones I suggested are 7th generation.

I didn't realize how similar in price they were. If I get the Mobo you suggested, it's a different chipset, so would I have to change out everything I have? I mean I will if it's worth it and I am a little nervous about getting a Mobo that won't update the bios so the CPU will work. How can I tell if it will?

If there is an ASUS equivalent to the Mobo you suggested I may prefer that one.

If your going to build a new system it is always best to do a fresh install of Windows anyway. Also the i7 7700 does not play well with Windows 7. So hope your using Windows 10. Oh and you would not need a bios update for that motherboard with the i7 7700.

One last thing. Asus MB This is a better mb then the other one but also higher prices.

You're right. Everything seems to be fine. My memory is DDR4 3200 though. If the Mobo only supports DDR4 2133 and whatever the other one was, do I have to switch my memory to the same compatibility?

I did not take notice the memory you picked. I checked the memory qualifying vendors list on the AsRock site and you are correct. The memory support only goes to 2400. Seems odd to me but it is what it is. The Asus mb would support it though. I'm sorry I think I may have mislead you. It seems to me that the non z motherboards do not go over 2400mhz memory. That Asus board was the only one I could find. That said I have come up with this.

Any one of these will work.

I guess I made that assumption because I have never used anything but overclocking motherboards. A bad excuse, but it is what it is. Again sorry.
