Not performing like it should?

So i installed planetside 2 today and im running it on MEDIUM avg 45 fps when im not rcurrently in battle...what the hell
GPU-r9 290 direct II CU
CPU- AMD athlon II x4 631 ocd to 3.6 ghz
8 gb of ram


any tips?

I know the true secret of these types of things. It's an ancient secret. You must turn off your PC, ad simply unplug your GPU, and plug it back in. Lol no seriously my friend had this problem when playing DayZ and he just blew off some dust, unplugged it, replugged it and it was all gooooood

anything else ? unpluging/replugging will be the last of my choices but thanks anyway
