Not picking up hard drive

I have recently constructed my own pc, and I have encountered yet another issue. This time with the hard drive. I looked in file to see how much space i had taken up already, and realised my hard drive wasn't listed- instead my ssd was being filled up. I have gone into disk management and i believe it is there disk 0 (11,79 gb) would be my 120 gb ssd, and i assume that the 931.51 gb disk 1, although reduced, is my hard drive. I took it out and it is still spinning and making sounds etc. and as far as I am aware I have not dropped it.

hard drive: seagate barracuda 1tb
mobo: asus maximus vIII hero
cpu: intel i7 6700k

Did you partition and format the drive?

Not that I know of, unless it did it itself when I was setting up PC.

TL;DR-I didn't do it manually no

Go into disk management and create a partition and format it. Then it will give it a drive letter and show up.
