not reading CD

most answers say hit the expand CD but I can find that expand in the list, Is there another word I can look for. Trying to install microsoft office and CD wont read

Don't worry about expand. If there is a drive letter, just double-click on it. If there isn't, either the drive or the CD is bad (or both).

Can your CD reader read any other disk? What version of Microsoft Orifice is that? It might be on a DVD, and if your reader is really a CD reader than it won't be able to read a DVD. So let's start with simple things:
Can you read any disk in the reader?
What make and model of PC do you have?
What version of Microsoft Office is that and where did you get it?
Do you know how to open the Device Manager and find out if that's a CD drive or a DVD drive?
