So I'm looking into getting a GTX 1060 but I'm worried it might not be compatible with my board.
It's a Lenovo CIH61MI v.1.1 board running PCIe 2.0 x16 for the GPU slot.
Would it work, or is it better off if I replace it?

Thanks for the info. I was wondering since it did not work for a friend of mine who has an Asus P8H67 board.

Hello! Well today I finally got my GTX 1060 G1 Gaming OC (3 GB) and I'm experiencing issues. Instead of running "just fine" all it does is show the starting "Lenovo" screen and beep over some interval of time, before the screen turns completely black and it stops beeping.

Initially I hadn't plugged in the PCIe power supply but even after that it didn't work.

Tried reseting BIOS through the BIOS and by taking the battery out but nothing of that helped.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

My PSU is a SuperFlower SF550P14HE which has 550 W. I couldn't find information on the 12v rail.

EDIT: Actually it's 45.5 Amps on the 12v Rail.

Well, it was a GT 630. I've already ordered a new motherboard anyway. I found a thread on the Lenovo forum about the exact same issue as mine on a very similar board and the only real solution given was to replace it. There is the option to tinker with the BIOS but I seem to have an older version and I have no experience in updating it so I'd rather not attempt.
