Not starting up

I put my computer together today, and because my monitor has arrived yet, I plugged in my parents new 19in lcd tv. I connected it with a hdmi cable, and started the computer up. I switch the screen to the hdmi source, and all I got was a lot of colorful static.
Help?

I'm pretty sure the power cables are done right, because I get power to all the fans and optical.

1. Did you carefully read the motherboard owners manual? yes

2. Did you plug in the 4/8-pin CPU power connector, located near the CPU? yes

3. Did you install the standoffs under the motherboard? Did you place them so that they all align with the screw holes in the motherboard, with no standoffs touching the board in the wrong place? yes


4. Did you verify that the video card is fully seated? onboard graphics only

5. Did you attach all the required power connectors to the video card? onboard graphics only

6. Have you tried booting with just one stick of RAM installed? yes

7. Did you verify that all memory modules are fully inserted? yes, its clicked in

8. Did you remove the plastic guard over the CPU socket? that huge plastic thing? yes

9. If using an after market CPU cooler, did you get any thermal paste on the board? preapplied material

10. Is the CPU fan plugged in? yes it works

11. If using a stock cooler, was the thermal material on the base of the cooler free of foreign material, and did you remove any protective covering? preapplied

12. Are any loose screws laying on the motherboard, or jammed against it? no

13. Did you ensure you discharged all static electricity before touching any of your components? yes, touched the psu and case every other second

14. Did you install the system speaker (if provided) so you can check beep-codes in the manual? .....

15. Did you read the instructions in the manual on how to properly connect the front panel plugs? yes

16. Did you turn on the power supply switch located on the back of the PSU? yes

17. Is your CPU supported by the BIOS revision installed on your motherboard? Most motherboards will post a CPU compatibility list on their website.
I assume its supported since everyone told me to buy this combo

18. Have you tried resetting the CMOS? The motherboard manual will have instructions for your particular board. ....?

19. If you have integrated video and a video card, try the integrated video port. Resetting the bios, can make it default back to the onboard video. .....?

here is something simple. did you enable the video card to use both output on it. ie go back a step and use a good old crt or lcd that it previous work with, then go in the setting of the video card and select to clone or extend the desktop on the second monitor. hence you have now enable the second display and the pc see it, you see it in the settings...

right click your desktop, select properties, then settings, then display. select monitor 1 then monitor 2

at the bottom of the screen on the right corner beside the clock you should see and display icon ati, nvida , and so on. right click that icon, then select well for me I see catalyst control center, 1 ati radeon 4800 series with a little arrow on the right , 2 ati radeon 4800 series with a little arrow on the right, they both show a sub menu of extended desktop, disable display, rotate display, set desktop area to, 3d settings.

by clicking catalyst control center, it display the catalyst control center. then I select display manager in the sub menu on the left part of the pop up.
you will see desktop and display setup
below that you got a white box that show main and clone side by side. on is occupied with your current display and the other is left blank a white empty box.
below that you got a box that says attached display currently disabled, a secondary display monitor that you must left click and hold to drag it to the clone monitor box, hence the empty white box. or to make changes , drag or right click the display icons. or click on the box that says detect displays.

must not exceed the maximum setting of both display selected,
color quality high 32 bit is my setting
refresh rate 60 hz. hmm ya this is very important since is I go to 75 I loss my dell m991 monitor since it can not handle that frequency
rotation
standard landscape for me works well. and as for the force button, I do not recommend to use it. forcing something to work that normally does not work. means that it does not work properly. so do not click that button
and voila it should work.
