[SOLVED] Not sure about which components I can pick for my motherboard [P8B75-M LX]

I'm looking to upgrade my old computer for a newer processor and computer parts but I'm not sure about how much support does the BIOS have for newer gen processors. It's an LGA 1151 socket but as far as I know support for newer CPUs goes as far as OEM's go. I was also thinking of picking up another DDR3 ram stick and newer graphics card, something in the lines of a GTX 1060 3GB alongside a certified 500w PSU. I'm kinda scared of picking up something that could damage my hardware.

Current specs:

• ASUS P8B75-M LX MOBO
• Intel I5 3470
• 4x1 GB DDR3 RAM
• GeForce GT 520

Budget friendly suggestions are highly welcomed as I'm from Venezuela and newer hardware can be a pain in the butt to acquire. Thanks in advance.

Trying to keep costs down but you may want to (try) to save up for newer gen tech as the system you have is a little long in the tooth. However, if that's not an option, then see below.

Thanks! So there should be no issue with a newer gen GPU as long as I set up a fitting certified PSU, right?

There shouldn't be an issue as your mobo has PCIe 3.0
