I'm building my first pc and I have most of everything when I turn on my computer the fans turn on, the lights light up and the LEDs work on the case. Put for some reason when I plug in my mouse and keyboard they don't work is it because I haven't installed the OS?

CPU - 6700k
MOBO - Asus rog maximus viii hero alpha
Cooler - Corsair H105
Ram - G.Skill Ripjaw series 16GB DDR4
PS - Cooler Master V550
OS - Windows 7 home premium 64bit

Many modern keyboards, especially the RGB ones and ones with many macros, require a full installation of an operating system in order for the software that controls the features to work properly.
