Hi guys, i'm planning to build my own computer, and i'd use the Phantom 410 or the Silverstone RV03(I really like the design on this one..)
Now, there's a few problems I encountered, I will be using this mobo
Msi b85 g43 gaming + i5-4570
This Cpu cooler
XIGMATEK Dark Knight SD1283 Night Hawk
and this ram
Gskills ripjaws X 1600mhz 2x4gb kit red.

I'm not too sure if the cpu cooler is installed, can the ram be placed? or the fan will block the ram port. Also if the cpu cooler is actually small enough to fit into either of the cases.(Both the Phantom 410 and the RV03)
If you have more case suggestions do post here, I'd really like my case to look real badass..

Hi blahblah1235,
The NZXT Phantom 410 has a cpu clearance height of about 175mm to the clear panel , say 170mm to be sure it does not touch
The Silverstone raven vo3 has a cpu clearance height of 163mm

Your XIGMATEK Dark Knight SD1283 Night Hawk has a height of 159mm w/o fan

You would fit the Night Hawk in the Phantom 410 no probs
you may just get the night hawk in the Raven but it will be awfully close

If you have issues with the ram height interfering with heatsink on your cpu cooler then yes the ram can be replaced with a lower profile ram that is not so tall

But wont my fan be below or the fan is blowing up? So are you saying the Fan is wider then the heatsink? also the phantom 410 has a smaller width then the RV03 and no, i'm not worried about ram height, i'm worry about the heatsink occupying too much space that the ram cant be slotted in no matter how 'low' the ram is

that is the specs from xigmateks website on your cooler height 159mm w/o fan , i dont know if the fans are taller i cant tell you that as i do not have one of these coolers , if you have it then measure the height of it yourself to be sure ,
i dont understand what you mean by "But wont my fan be below or the fan is blowing up? "
The cooler should fit in either case but will be really close to the side panel on the Raven
I got both of the max cpu heights from silverstones and nzxt website on your cases

Nvm I got the fan placement part, the fans should be 120mm, which I doubt is any taller then the heatsink, I think the part where they said, "w/o fan" is the extra fan u can mount for the push/pull. I did some research and the dark knight is very similar to the xigmatek balder, I went to look up its specs, the dimensions were the same but they never did include "w/o fan" in the specs/dimension. What's your take on this?
