I have an Asus CM1630 (https://www.cnet.com/products/asus-essentio-cm1630-athlon-ii-x2-220-2-8-ghz-4-gb-750-gb/specs/) and just ordered a ASUS PCE-AC55BT 802.11ac Wireless-AC1200 Bluetooth 4.0 PCIe / mPCIe adapter (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320293&nm_mc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel&cm_mmc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_-) and it requires me to plug in the F_USB for some sort of connectivity. I can't find or may not have a F_USB so if you know where it should be or know I don't have one is there any work around? Thanks.

I found the ones in use, can I not just use this one if Im not using the front USB ports?

Also, if my computer doesn't have bluetooth can I just buy a USB Bluetooth "thing"?

You could get a usb pcie card. but from the other thread, you don't have any more open pcie slot

if you are not using the front usb port on your asus, then yes, you could use it.

I looked at the wireless PCIE card you purchased and I see no where for this card to need a USB connector unless your using it for Bluetooth.
in this case look on your motherboard (picture below) and in the circle are your 3 USB ports on your board. use any one of those that are not being used.
but you only need usb connectivity if you are looking to use this card Bluetooth abilities not for regular networking/internet

Okay, so, I have the device plugged in and my computer recognizes it but it won't connect or even prompt to connect to the internet..? I've ran the set up and everything.

okay,,
shut pc down
then make sure the card is properly seated into the motherboard, the wires to the card, disconnect the USB portion for a minute.
boot pc
now you should go to "start", "control panel ", " network and sharing"
click on " change adapter setting on the left column
you should see the new WIFI adaptoir at this point;

if not respond to me again I will keep an eye on this thread,

if the adapter is showing:
you should see on bottom right next to clock on your toolbar a WIFI icon like this

click on it once and if the unit is working, you should see the wifi networks available to you.

When I right click the "^" icon, the only option similar to customize is a settings icon and in that menu when I find "always show all icons in the notification center" is doesn't show wifi and in another interface it has the WiFi icon turned on.
