Hey guys!

I'm fixing and restarting Acer TravelMate 4101LMi and one thing bugs me - the hardware that was there and the input are just not known to me. I'm a bit of younger generations and i just don't know how i can insert a new ssd which has a SATA input. I thought that USB to SATA adapter can help me, but it says in the Windows 7 86x install that i can't do anything with that disk and partitions because the laptop doesn't recognize it as the hard drive. So, i guess there is a similar thing from this kind of hard disk input to sata? I tried to find but i just can't find the name of the input (or not sure how to call it) of this old hard disk.
Thanks in advance!

That laptop is too old, it does not have a SATA interface for the drive.

I would not touch that laptop to fix it, it's too old to be useful for anything modern. A replacement one many times faster can be found for about $100.

There were a few SSD models made for IDE/ATA but they are expensive in relation to the cost of the system. You would be paying more than what the laptop is worth on a drive.
