[SOLVED] Not sure what’s wrong, need help.

So about 2 weeks ago I bought a motherboard from NewEgg, and after putting the whole thing together with this new motherboard I figured out I needed to download the LAN and other stuff onto a USB to connect to the internet. After a long process of swapping my CPU back into my old motherboard and swapping it all back around, the computer wouldn’t post. I swapped it all back into the old motherboard and it also wouldn’t post. Now the new motherboard is MSI and the CPU light is lit up for the EZ Debug light.

After reading many different forum posts I decided it had to be the PSU, so I replaced it. After that didn’t fix it I drove to the nearest Best Buy and bought an i5-8600k. Still nothing but black screens. Is this the motherboard perhaps?

It looks like there’s one bent the wrong way on the motherboard, would that cause any problems if I just buy a new motherboard?

Ok, is the bent pin inside the cpu socket? If it is where is it located in the middle side ect?

Sent in the pictures, it looks like middle top of the MSI board, and all over the place on the Gigabyte board.

if i got it right the the bent pin on your mobo is in the top right hand corner (MSI)

I’m trading my old CPU for a motherboard tomorrow, is there anyway anything would be fried or not working? Just so that I don’t trade this guy a broken part.

this is a video how to fix it but be careful they are easy to bend. also i can see some trash or more bent pins in right down corner yea and sorry i meant top left hand corner sorry.

well you know the processor does not usually break from bent pins. so everything should be fine.

so basically in the pics you provided i can say that sadly you have bent some pins. and that is the reason why cpu is not working.
