Question Not sure what RAM model to buy for my PC

I have an Inspirion 15 7000 Gaming which comes with 8GB DDR4. From what I have searched, the RAM I have is 2400Mhz but with CPU-Z I see im running at almost 3000Mhz. Should I get 2400 or 3000 MHz ram for upgrade?

I would say stick with 2400 MHz RAM. Its the actual frequency of RAM for your CPU.

NB frequency is the North Bridge frequency on your CPU/Motherboard and isn't really determined directly by your RAM. Essentially it is the NorthBridge Multiplier Front Side Bus = NB Freq.

You need to look at the "DRAM Frequency". This is only half of the rated speed because DDR stands for "double data rate". Your actual speed is twice that value.
