So whenever I'm on a page that has a mostly white background and images or dark areas are present, it's almost like it bleeds off to the right. Think of it as a painter has a black square painted, then takes his brush and does a stroke to the right, causing that paint to carry on. Even as I type this there is a slight grey bar the same width as each line of text carrying on to the end of this box(this text field is kinda pinkish I guess)
At this site http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/black.php the bottom right one (white box) has a grey bleed going to the right. The other ones being black/grey do not. The white text under it within the grey background carry on too. Really not sure if it's a monitor issue or not. It puzzles me.
http://prntscr.com/91uoac is a screenshot I took of that boxes on that site, doubtful you'd see what I see but at least you can visualize. Thanks.

Hello,

I'm afraid that I know what's going on now. And sorry to say, but you need to invest in either a new VGA cable, and hope it's of higher quality, I looked at your graphics card, and it should have a DVI-D port. They aren't that expensive, but if it's not bothering you too much, then maybe you shouldn't invest. They aren't expensive though, and may actually improve the overall picture quality, not only fix this problem.

kk here http://i67.tinypic.com/1gkmfm.jpg Don't mind the white box being bright, that isn't the problem but you can see how it carries on to the right. Down below at the text field you can see it even better where each 'line' carries on into the black.

Hello, thanks for providing a photograph.

What display port are you using, I'm assuming VGA?

If you are using VGA, make sure it's connected properly and not loose.

Try a digital signal instead, such as DVI or HDMI.

It would also be helpful to know your system specifications.

Make sure the refresh rate is 60 Hz (59.94), and post back if anything else out of the ordinary shows up as well.

Yea it's vga, sadly the monitor didn't come with any other cable aside from power. I think I have a vga-to-dvi connector somewhere, but connectors of any kind don't perform the same. Just take me a week to find the thing. I just launched my dell display manager software that came with the monitor, don't know what it did, but it cut that bleed in half. Messing with bright/cont doesn't do anything btw

Using an HP 8100 Elite i7 870 2.93 GHZ

It's running at 60hz at 1920x1080. I haven't noticed any bleed when I play games though

Yea I actually just got this computer, my old was was ancient...was like an athlon x4200+ x2 or some crap, 2.2ghz, real old lol....also been using the old monitor that was capped at 1280x1024 res so I can try out that cable. For the time being though it's not really an issue. It doesn't happen all the time and If I'm looking square on at the monitor it's nowhere near as obvious as if I'm standing over it. One day when I'm not lazy I'll swap the cables out (still a vga) and see. Thanks for the help!
