Hello, i've been looking for a usb to mini b for my Astro a40's. I got a cheap Monoprice one but had grounding issues (high humming noise) just like I did with my original. The support didn't replace the original cord and refuse to say there's something wrong with it even though there is (I sent it in the mail before. Talk about shitting support for warranty). I have a cable from my go pro that I've been using that works great but it's too short to run at length.

My preferred site to buy it (usb to minib 6 feet in length) would be on amazon.ca. Suggestions??

Solution
Understood - no problem.

Yes the cables are overpriced but having an USB extension available has really been handy for me a few times. And "less expensive" cables have not held up very well. Have purchased a couple via MarketPro shows in years past. Some good, some not so good. Vendors will barter also.

Bit spoiled I guess because there is competition in my area and I can use reward points etc. to reduce the immediate out-of-pocket costs.

And some stores will match competing prices or online prices if you ask.

I picked up a 100' Cat 5e cable at a big box store for about 1/5th the shelf listed retail price. Mainly because the same identical cable on their web site was listed for a much, much lower (and appropriate) price...
Just purchase a 6 foot (2 meter) USB extension cable (USB male A to USB female A) to extend the go pro cable.

Remember the maximum USB length is 15 feet (5 meters).

You may even be able to purchase the USB extension cable locally. USB extension cables do not cost much and you will get an opportunity to see the quality.

And easily return the cable if need be.......

You see the problem with that is i'm looking for an one piece cord not an extension. Also USB cables at retail are ALWAYS overpriced over double the actual value. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Store manager matched the online price especially after I pointed out some general inconsistencies in the pricing of different lengths.
