Not sure what's at fault, the CPU or Motherboard

Hey all.

I've been trying to get my new build up and running, and had already run in to some trouble earlier that I figured out. I am now unsure of what to do.

I built the PC together in a minimal fashion to test the parts. (CPU and RAM on motherboard, 4-pin CPU and 24 pin connected). When I turn the PC on, the CPU fan starts spinning, but the screen receives no signal. I have tried with both VGA and HDMI. HDMI cable was used before on PS3, so confirmed working, and the VGA is completely fresh.

Specs
AMD Athlon 5350
Corsair Vengeance 4GB LP
Gigabyte GA-AM1M-S2H

Also worth mentioning, the keyboard receives power even before the PC is booting. (The 3 LEDs turn on). Not sure what to do right now.

This is not my first build, I know the exact CPU is supported, I've tried using 1 stick of RAM (both of them, both sockets), there are only 2 sockets so there is no specific requirement which sockets to use, there is no video card in this build as the CPU has an iGPU.

Try connecting an internal speaker to the board to make sure that board and CPU do work.

Thanks for the tip, I'll see if I can get a hold of one somewhere, they are impossible to find in my country.
