can any 1 tell me if the AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Dual Core Processor will work with my Acer EM61SM/EM61PM mobo. i know it needs 2 b Socket AM2 but im not sure if there is anyting els i should know . if its not any suregestons would be grate many thanks

Before going and plugging in a new CPU into the mobo, check with Acer first. Even if the chipset on the mobo will support the CPU, it doesn't mean Acer's bios will. I've seen it with other comp manufactures where the bios will only allow for 2 or 3 CPU models and not anything that will fit in the socket.

Looks like it will support it, but you will likely need a bios update.
