Of all the petty things for me to do...

I didn't like how my Sim 'me' grew up from teen to adult (lousy
birthday party, and I never really liked how she looked anyway - but
she ended up downright ugly). So of course, vain me decided to start
that family again.

I moved the family out of the house, deleted them from the family bin,
and went back to recreate the family. Gave them all the same names,
had them look mostly the same but fixed up the issues I'd had with 'me'
- she looked great with custom caramel hair and hazel eyes. Ok, I
don't actually have hazel eyes IRL but I'd just figured out the whole
saving downloads thing and it looked great.

Anyway, I tried to move them back into the old house, and, and, *gulp*
it CRASHED!

*sobs*

I had to uninstall, delete all my saved games, and reinstall (again).
So my saga of Cassandra Goth's quest for a thousand kids and a decent
hairstyle has been cut short yet again 🙁

This shouldn't be a problem - I've done this several times. Even with the
same name, the sims should have different identifying codes - their names
are irrelevant to the way the game runs. It makes it a bit of a ah heck to
manipulate things in SimPE (because the old sims turn up there). I think it
must be something else - perhaps a corrupt family or problem download or
hack.
