I need a notebook for traveling and to edit videos (720p - 1080p) and photography. I have a budget of up to € 1,800.- (Euros), cheaper will always be better and was hoping that you folks could help me out a bit :)

I have done a lot of research and have stumbled upon 3 notebooks that seem to do the job very well, but I am still uncertain of which one I should go for:

Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p -

XPS 15 (€ 1,499.-) -

MSI GE60 -

I know that SSD's are superior for editing, to which I was hoping that I could buy and manually upgrade if needed?

Thanks for the feedback. Will definitely take that into account. I took a quick look at the ASUS N550JV, which seems to be a great deal for the price plus with the extra money, as you suggested, I can get a big SSD. Will take a closer look bit later when I have some more time.

I did stumble upon Workstation Laptops, which seem to be very powerful machines. I found the Dell Precision M4800 from Notebookcheck (http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Dell-Precision-M4800-Notebook.104416.0.html) which would still fit in the budget (http://geizhals.at/dell-precision-m4800-workstation-4800-bto1-a1074731.html). Is this a possibility? I'm thinking that it might be too heavy / bulky for traveling? Or would I still be better off getting a cheaper notebook and upgrading it a bit?
