notepad automatic printing file

Hi,

I am looking into an option when Windows 8.1 starts to automatically print a .txt file. How can be done? I look into many options, still no success.

First question - What is the use case for this? Why are you looking to do this?

I would look to something as simple as a batch file or Windows Scripting Host file and base my code off of the line:

Shell("NOTEPAD /PT MyLaserJet C:\Temp\test.txt")

Edit: I would want to code in the ability to not print the file, as well. I can see this being wasteful / annoying.

Hey. Thanks for the answer.
The reason it's I have a POS/ESC thermal printer for a restaurant and we need to use latin characters (spanish). With Win 8.1 they just dont appear, you need to print first from a notepad file (whatever text, few lines) to put the printer into ability to print with those characters. I tried all the options (including new OS clean install) but no chances to make the printer print with those characters without printing from a Notepad file.

Mi solution was to create a file that will open the notepad with automatic printing+the Point of Sale program). This way all the time I will open the program it will execute the small notepad printing then the POS will run normally.
