I have a notepad that I need to use but it will not restore to an open state from its minimized state.
The sequence is this:
1) I copied and pasted a text into an opened notepad
2) I clicked on File--Save
3) Before the dialog box to save the notepad had popped up my Google Chrome Browser crashed
4) So I clicked on the new box that said Restore Chrome and then minimized the notepad AGAIN BEFORE THE SAVE BOX HAD POPPED UP AND THUS BEFORE IT HAD BEEN NAMED AND SAVED
5) The browser windows then reopened on their own
6) I then went to open the notepad and it will not open/restore

So, I have the notepad in the taskbar and it has the info on it and it is not restoring to open.
The notepad was minimized after clicking on File--Save BUT before the save box had popped up. Another notepad that was open works just fine and also I opened a blank notepad and put some text in and saved it and it works and will close and can be reopened from my documents. My Google chrome works and so does Internet Explorer
Was there a "signal criss-cross" between save and the minimize of the notepad maybe leaving a hanging save dialog box somewhere somehow?
How can I open it now? Is there a file somewhere?

Solution
I was helped to solve this problem. The solution was to close all windows and apps and notepads except for the one in question. Then to press ALT and hold it down while then pressing TAB.
The notepad popped up with the hanging open Save As dialog box. It had been stuck in the minimized state for five days.
