Nothing is being displayed

Just recently built my own computer. After bringing it to my room, using an hdmi cord to hook it up to my monitor and powering on, I realized it didn't work. All of the fans are running the CPU and gpu fans are working and the keyboard I was using lit up, but no bios came up. I am confused about this issue as this is the first computer I've built.

this might sound silly but I goofed this up the first time I built my pc, did you plug in the cpu cable? should be near the top left of your mobo, if thats not the issue try moving your ram around, ie swapping them, moving them to the other two slots you have instead.
