Thank you for the reply Malke.
_ power suply along with cpu fan are both working fine.
_ Should i hear beeps or this will happen while BIOS is loading?
_ Monitor is properly functionning; i did plug it to different PC and was
working
fine.
_One more thing to confine to you; the processor was out of the slot (this
is a
friend's computer) do you think taht processor/ Motherboard may be
damaged?

Thanks for your reply in advance

Most computers will give audible codes - beep codes - when the computer
is starting. I have seen a few Compaqs that didn't, but that was a long
time ago and certainly the exception.

Did you plug your PC into the different monitor? Swap out the video
card? Most certainly you could have damaged the processor and/or the
motherboard, but I don't see where you did video card tests.

screen was plugged to another pc. screen went ok.
did not try the vga card on another pc.
i noticed also that when you switch the power on, hdd light turns red and
remain red in a steady way (not blinking) despite the fact that there is no
action on the HDD (tried the HDD on a different computer and it is working
properly except that no data is there and this is another problem)
- is it possible that bios is corrupted?
