Noticeable difference in new monitor?

I've decided on buying the BenQ RL2455HM but was wondering if I'd see a noticeable difference from the monitor I currently have. The BenQ monitor has a 1ms response time, 12000000:1. Not to familiar with what these mean, but the monitor I currently have has a 5ms response time and 700:1. I do still plan on using my current monitor as a second monitor and have the BenQ one to be my primary monitor. Will there be a significant difference in the two monitors? I plan on using it for mostly gaming.

You're better off with an IPS monitor if you want to expect an improvement in image quality.

Is that to say that there won't be a difference with the benq monitor?

You will probably see an improvement with the BenQ because its a high quality monitor. But there is only so much to gain when moving from TN panel to TN panel. Go down to a computer store and have a look at a TN and IPS monitor side by side.
