[SOLVED] Noticing frame drops when playing on my TV vs. Monitor

Hi everyone,

I have my PC hooked up to a monitor and a TV (I only plug it in specifically when I want to play on my bed), but I notice I have frame drops when I play on my TV. I imagine because it is because I am mirroring my monitor to my TV with the HDMI cable and since the TV and Monitor are two different refresh rates, that will cause the drops. Will making my TV the primary monitor be a simple fix? I am just lazy and like to be able to turn my TV and pick up my controller and sit on my bed. I do have a Steam Link, but since I am not close to my router I get basically the same experience. Are there easier methods to play my PC on my TV?

Solution
Yep, VSYNC is off! I'll have to double check my refresh rate on my TV, my monitor is 75hz. Was hoping there was a lazy way to be able to switch the two without switching primary screens, but if that's what I have to do, that's what I have to do!
You can get an HDMI Splitter?? i think thats what its called where you can plug the HDMI from your PC to a box then run two seperate HDMI cables from that one to your tv and one to your monitor

I think you answered yourself already here. If your TV isny capable of running more than say 60hz the frames wont go above that. You use a monitor that has more than 60hz? Also when gaming you make sure to turn off things like Vsync right?
