[SOLVED] Novice question; Should i go for CPU or GPU first?

These are my current PC specs, they are really bad.
-motherboard H61MLV v 7.0
-Integrated Graphics Intel HD 2000
-Intel Pentium GPU G620 @2.60GHz
-8GB ram(2 sticks of 4gb) this was my first "upgrade" lol

So i was wondering if i should get an
intel i5 2400 or a GeForce GT 640

Neither.

Get an i7 if you do a CPU upgrade. Non-K series CPUs will be cheaper.

Having a GPU at all would be nice, but the GT640 isn't a good choice.

What power supply do you have?

What's your upgrade budget and what country are you shopping in?

IMO just upgrade the GPU first. you still can play some games using the G620 and GT640.
Then you can upgrade the i5-2400 for better perform.
