Now My PC CAN'T Boot into BIOS !! Goes directly to Windows 10

PC is
Aorus Z370
8086K
G.Skill SK Hynix 3200 C16 4x8 (32GB)
Nvidia 3080
Samsung 970 NVME M.2 Boot Drive
Windows 10 (latest updated)

I thought that I could trick it into booting to bios by removing a RAM stick, so that it would come up and say "CPU or Memory Changed" and then go to bios, but no it just goes to Windows Start Screen.

Holding down F1, F2, Esc, F8, F10, or DEL during boot does nothing at all, HOWEVER on the "black screen: CNTRL+ALT+DEL actually reboots so I know that the keyboard is sending input

If I press nothing, it goes to the windows start screen

Sometimes, a hot reboot causes just a black screen and I get the Motherboard Code AE
Sometimes, a hot reboot just goes right to Windows 10 WITHOUT showing the customary Aorus Logo, or briefly displaying the boot options.

In the Past, or "what I am accustomed to" on this system is that the FIRST thing that shows up on the screen is the AORUS logo, then right after that, a Quick Bios menue pops in for like 1 second and it said something like "Press F2 or DEL to Enter Configuration" (the bios) or something like that, ALONG WITH some quickly displayed data that showed some basic hardware specs that the pc was recognizing, I suppose, and also said something like "American Megatrends Version ...blahh blahhh" BUT NOW - nothing like that happens.

JUST WHAT in the Wide wide World of Sports in GOIN ON HERE??????

Update/Addition: Tryin to Run MemTest on reboot just results in a nonresponsive black screen

ALSO- where is SAFE MODE? trying to get it to boot into Safe Mode and All I can get is a dead black screen

Gigabyte have a couple of Z370 chipset boards under their Aorus branding. What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

You can disable Fast Boot in BIOS and see if that helps. You can access BIOS by holding down the shift key as you initiate a reboot command from Start. The system will show you a blue screened background, choose Troubleshoot>Advanced options>UEFI Firmware settings>Restart

You can do the same for any bootable media, using the same blue background screen option.

Since I can’t see the bios, I am guessing about the version. I reflashed it about 4-5 months ago and I belive it is called F17

I have been doing the SHIFT + options for restarts.

I have never seen or paid attention to the option on that blue screen for UEFI resets, BUT I will look for it soon.

I would disable fast boot if I could ever get into the dang bios.

And as a side note, when I booted into safe mode, my keyboard had no output but my mouse did…. 🤷‍♂️

I’m here just exploring options. Will update and thanks

I appreciate the feedback!

my fastboot isn't enabled and same happens to me.

this only happens when EXPO is enabled though, when expo is disabled the discreet GPU does actually show motherboard's logo.

I think somehow, enabling RAM overclock profiles disables discreet gpu output before window loads in.

Are you talking about Memory Overclocking like XMP? What is EXPO? I'm probably going to know what expo is But right now I'm drawing a blank.

how did you boot in?
Well.... I Shift+restart to get to Windows Installer Options when Starting. Then, I told it to "reset" windows 10. (yeah I lost a feww apps)

After windows 10 was reinstalled from the file that it already has on the hard drive, miraculously, somehow I could boot it to safemode WITH my keyboard functioning, cause ealier I could boot into safemode but without keyboard recognition.

Then, I needed to boot into bios, but it would not, so I took the RAM OUT of the Motherboard, then went to restart it, and finally I got the message "cpu or memory changed please enter setup"

Then I turned off the pc entirely

Then I put the RAM back in, and BOOM, I got it to display the "normal srquence" where it displays the Aorus Logo and displays the prompts "press DEL to enter setup"
BEFORE - the entire option to press DEL to enter setup wasn't even getting displayed, it was going straight to the windows start screen.

Okay.

Try installing GPU drivers, I have a suspicion as soon as you will, this issue will come back.
