NT-A14 vs NT-P14s

Honorable
Hey all,

I recently bought a Noctua 140mm fan for the rear exhaust of my new build, now, I bought it because I felt the price was quite reasonable, and the color scheme is easier on the eyes (I have part of the side panel clear, and from where I'll be sitting, I'll see the exhaust fan).

Now, I only realised that while the performance is very similar (Similar noise and CFM), P14s was shipped with only 'essentials' (IE fan and screws only), without the low noise adapter or the anti-vibration pads. I can live without the low noise (should be able to limit it with the mobo), but the missing anti-vibration pads concern me a little.

Do these make a big difference to the noise/performance of the fan?

Thanks

chenw - avps, well, not big really, since noctuas don't vibrate, not really, and not ever, they're more like "air-noising", to be honest. So no big deal. Anyway, You did get the silicone stand offs right?
So, it's like this:

NF-P14 FLX is already discontinued, and it's main use is high air flow, eventhough the architecture tells otherwise, now I'm going by the book.

NF-P14s redux-1200 is the NF-P14 FLXes mementic successor, while it's main use are water cooling radiators [it packs more air pressure than air flow] and has a different color.

If You want ultimate airflow, You should go after NF-A15 PWM.

Oh I already bought the P14s lol, I didn't actually notice the packaging contents of A14 PWM until recently (the former doesn't have any of the niceties). Just was curious about how big of an effect is the anti-vibration pads A14 comes with, thats all :)

see those four funny things on the right?

Yep, my fans did NOT came with them, but I am pretty sure I saw something very similar to those when I was talking my parts vendor a while back.

I'll ask him, I know those are anti-vibration screws (I saw them on Enermax fans while I was researching for LED Fans).
