NT Workstation Keyboard locked out

Have just changed the CD drive on an NT 4 workstation and rebooted and it says "Keyboard Locked Out - unlock the key"
It doesn't have any key what do I do?

Hi,

Only thing I can suggest is you open the cabinet on the machine concerned and
trace the wiring from the front panel keylock to the motherboard. Depending upon
whether the 'unlock' state is with the motherboard pins in a shorted or open
state, you may need to temporarily put a jumper on the pins (for short), or pull
the connector off (for open) till you can sort out where the key has got to.

The 'keyboard lock' function is actually a product of the motherboard hardware
and BIOS, NT actually has nothing to do with it 🙂
