Hello, i am trying to setup a dual boot vista/xp system. I have a single drive partitioned into two active, primary partitions. Partition1 (C:\) has Visat 64bit installed and works fine, I can boot successfully to it. My question is how do i install XP on the second partition (D:\). When I do a system restart with the XP installation disc in the CDROM drive, immediately following the POST I get the error message NTLDR is missing, press ctrl+alt+del. I need to install XP (dual boot). Can anyone help?

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

The system either isn't finding your CD - in which case you need to change BIOS>Boot Order to look at the CD ROM first - or possibly that you're missing the brief message that says "Press any key to boot from CD".
