NTVDM.EXE STOPS WORKING AFTER INSTALLING BITDEFENDER WHEN DOS APP LOAD

after installing bitdefender and trying to load a dos program (ACE) it shows blank screen and then ntvdm.exe error pops up saying it stopped working! if i uninstall bitdender, the dos program works fine...PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Check in bitdefender for settings to allow or exclude the app

well i will have to reinstall it as i just uninstall it. I noticed however, if i run the app in window mode it works fine! When i switch to full screen mode i get a black screen that hangs there for about 30 seconds then the ntvdm.exe error pops up and the app returns to window mode when i cancel the error
