Hello...I am looking for some help
The question I am asking is what fps I can expect with an Iris Plus 655 at 1080p and 1440p in the games that I have listed further below.
( I am aware of that the iris plus 655 is not even remotely suited for gaming but that is not the subject matter of my question.)
Introduction, for context:
To use "Iris Plus 655" and "gaming" in the same sentance will perhaps, for many enthusiast gamers, seem like a joke if not a sign of arrogance.
However, the days of serious gaming, if such a thing ever existed for a non-professional such as myself, are becoming history so I am merely looking for something that will keep me from drying up completely.
I am considering to buy an intel NUC with the i3 8th gen. (BEH version) because i want something that is:
Why not i5 ?
The graphics card is, based on what i could dig up online, the bottleneck for all the NUCs as far as gaming is concerned.
The games:
First off:
UT 99 and Quake Live, these two are somewhat my go-to essentials. I need them to atleast reach stable 144 fps at 1080p, preferably at 1440p. If this is not possible then I will have to reconsider my planned purchase.
The rest below are titles I hope to be playing at say 30-60 fps at 1080p or 1440p
Doom 3
Fear
Condemend Criminal Origins
Oblivion
Mass Effect 1 and 2
Rage (yes, I liked this game)
Civ 3, 4 and 5
So, if you have relevant benchmark info or other thoughts then please leave a comment!

I am considering to buy an intel NUC with the i3 8th gen. (BEH version) because i want something that is:
- stationary,
- small scale
- silent (or atleast quiet)
- cheap.
Why not i5 ?
- Possibly higher temperature -> Louder
- Gets bottlenecked in games by the iris 655
- No use of the quad core power outside of gaming either
