Nuking my hard drive

Hi I was wondering if there are any software that could help me nuke my hard drive, or if someone could help me with my trouble using dban's software. It wont let me download it onto a CD. If someone could help that'd be great, thank you

You better be 100% sure when you want to start this kind of drive wiping.

Please define trouble downloading to a CD. You may need to burn an image file and not just burn the iso or other image format to a disc. Your system will also have to support booting from an optical drive.

All I can say about this is to be VERY careful with it and maybe remove all other drives from a system when performing such a task.

Yes I'm sure about this. I want to completely wipe it, all files and OS. I try to download it and burn it on to my CD and my optica drive and burn and read so im not sure what's wrong.

The best way to nuke a hard drive is to open it, take a pair of pliers, and physically destroy the platter(s).

Melting it down in a fire work good too.

Its aluminum(well at least the casing and most platters are). I know I have melted notebook drives down pretty good in the past in a campfire.
