How many fans can the Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P support for the pc case

It only supports 2 case fans.
You can buy fan splitter cables though to get support for more fans though.

It supports 2 fans like most basic motherboards. Using Molex connectors for your case fans is a far more efficient way to power them. You can connect as many fans as you want to other fan's molex connectors, I have done it 5 times in my PC case and haven't used my motherboards fans
