Number of Hard drives for various OS

I plan on dual booting Linux Mint and Windows 10 in the near future.

Is it best to put each one on a different SSD? Does it not matter?

Ideally it would be nice to have 3 separate drives, tho you can do it on 1 and partition them.

Are you saying to have two OS drives and a common data drive?

My bad, two drives, one for each OS. If you do need significant space for media/games etc, add a 3rd drive, a large HDD, that can then be accessed by both OS'.
